Pandora Needs Some Users to Reset their Passwords

If you’re a Pandora user, make sure to check your email for a message from the company. Pandora says it’s a precaution, but change yours if you get an email.

If you’re a Pandora user, make sure to check your email for a message from the company. Pandora says it has reason to believe that some users’ passwords have been compromised.

While it’s not clear how many users were affected and the company says that it has no evidence accounts have been tampered with. However, it does recommend changing your password as a precaution.

I got this email today and went ahead and changed my password. Here’s what the email from Pandora says:

Dear Pandora listener:

As a precaution, we want to make you aware of a situation that could possibly affect your Pandora account.

First off, there is no evidence that your Pandora account has been compromised or tampered with in any way.

However, usernames and passwords that were breached from a service other than Pandora a few years ago were posted on the web recently.

In order to protect Pandora Listeners, our security teams have analyzed the data and found that your Pandora username was included in the list.

If you share passwords across services and haven’t updated them recently, and you haven’t already reset your Pandora password, you should do so now.

Below is a link with which you can request a password reset on Pandora. https://www.pandora.com/account/help

    Got one yesterday, and changed my password. What was the other service that was breached?

    Is this legit or just another authentic looking phishing scam? I did not do anything. Checking it out first.

      It was not a phishing scam. To change your password, go to the Pandora website and login, then change your password their. It might be possible that you could have been compromised by a “man-in-the-middle” hack that intercepted the email and then redirected you. ALWAYS go to the service or app web site and login. Do not follow links in emails.

    I didn’t received any notification, but i was trying to listen to pandora on 2 occasions and they said someone else is playing i couldn’t get to play..would like to change my info
